As organisations continue to struggle with the proliferation of information, some are turning to new and better approaches to connect the dots and make more informed decisions. To be successful, organisations are integrating data from silos to create a unified view and then using semantic technologies to harmonize and link the data using shared vocabularies and publicly available taxonomies. In this presentation, we discuss how this is done by leveraging MarkLogic’s NoSQL database platform and Smartlogic’s semantic platform – drawing on specific examples across financial services, life sciences, media and entertainment, and other industries.
