Commercial aircraft manufacturers’ flight test centers are facing new challenges. Modern aircraft are producing increasing amounts of data while flying in an ever-changing, complex environment. Also, time-to-market is now crucial for manufacturers, so flight test campaigns need to be performed in a shortened time frame. To overcome this challenge, data diversity and volume need to be reconciled with new usages where multi-flights analysis become the reference; and a data management solution is one key enabler. In this presentation, Airbus explains how it reduces the number of flight hours while also reducing time-consuming data retrieval from massive data sets with the MarkLogic data platform.
