London — May 7, 2019 — MarkLogic Corporation, the next generation data platform provider for simplifying data integration, today revealed that it has fended off the competition to win a RegTech Insight Award for Best Transaction Reporting Solution for its work with a large interdealer broker in the UK.

The RegTech Insight Awards are organised by the A-Team Group and recognise the leading providers of RegTech solutions, services and consultancies who are creatively finding solutions to the changing regulatory environment. This is particularly important in the world of financial services where as many as 374 new legislative initiatives like MiFID II could be implemented by 2021.

The awards were voted for by peers and overseen by an Advisory Board, consisting of representatives from HSBC, Barclays, BNY Mellon, Credit Suisse and the International RegTech Association among others. The advisors helped to shape the categories and reviewed the winners in collaboration with the A-Team editorial team.

MarkLogic’s NoSQL Data Hub was praised for its capability to deliver a data management solution that can help meet mandatory regulatory reporting requirements, such as MiFID II, SEF, LSE and REMIT reporting, as well as future reporting requirements by providing users with a 360 view of all of their data and its lineage.

Angela Wilbraham, CEO of A-Team Group, which hosts the RegTech Insight Awards, commented:We are delighted that our cross-platform readership of over 20,000 senior technology officers and data specialists clearly rated MarkLogic® as the Best Transaction Reporting Solution (for MiFID II/MiFIR/EMIR) in a very competitive field. We congratulate MarkLogic on their prestigious RegTech Insight Award win.”

Dr. Giles Nelson, CTO Financial Services, MarkLogic, said: “We are extremely pleased to have been recognised with this prestigious award. MarkLogic has over 10 years’ experience in financial services, working with numerous tier-1 buy and sell-side capital markets customers to help them meet their regulatory compliance obligations. As this award demonstrates, MarkLogic’s Data Hub is able to solve a key piece of the ongoing compliance puzzle by enabling firms to gain a 360 view of all of their regulatory data.”

It was also noted that MarkLogic’s Data Hub can quickly ingest and read trading systems and reference data from multiple source systems. This means that some processes at this particular interdealer broker—such as the ingesting of data, the conversion to canonical data, and the generation and delivery of reports—are now automated.
