“The public sector was the first entity to face a true Big Data challenge, with technology requirements that range from catching the most dangerous people in the world to preserving some of the most important documents in history,” said Randall Jackson, vice president, MarkLogic Public Sector. “These requirements can only be fulfilled by cutting-edge technology that doesn’t compromise. You can’t force fit information into older technology or rely on summaries of data, and maintain confidence that you have the all the tools at your disposal to succeed at the mission. At the 2011 MarkLogic Government Summit, you’ll see firsthand how government organizations are addressing these issues and successfully implementing technology solutions that help them make the best decisions possible.”

The MarkLogic Government Summit consists of three public sector focused tracks addressing solutions, thought leadership, and MarkLogic technology.

  • Solutions Track – During the Solutions Track, MarkLogic Public Sector customers will provide valuable insight into how their organizations are using Big Data solutions to exploit massive volumes of mission-critical information. The track will include presentations on solutions for the Department of Defense, the Department of Transportation, and Fairfax County.
  • Thought Leadership Track – The Thought Leadership Track will provide technically-oriented overviews of important trends, best practices, and innovations in the public sector. In these sessions, technology experts will share their insights on issues pertaining to the growing volume and complexity of government-created information.
