SAN CARLOS, Calif. — March 9, 2009 — MarkLogic Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure software for information applications, today announced it has been named as a finalist in the Software and information Industry Association’s (SIIA) 24th annual CODiE Awards in two categories. The newest version of the company’s flagship product, MarkLogic Server, is a finalist for “Best Database Management Solution” and the MarkLogic CEO Blog is a finalist for “Best Corporate Blog.”
Established in 1986, the CODiE Awards celebrate outstanding achievement and vision in the software, digital information, and education technology industries. The CODiE Awards hold the distinction of being the industry’s only peer reviewed awards program, providing a unique opportunity for companies to evaluate and honor each others work.
More than 850 nominations were received this year for recognition of best of breed products and services across 71 categories. “The competition is particularly steep this year, making selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement,” said Ken Wasch, president, SIIA. “All the companies on this year’s list of CODiE Finalists should feel justifiably proud of their accomplishment in making it to this stage, and much excitement to look forward to regarding the upcoming CODiE Awards voting!”
“We are honored to be a finalist in these two highly competitive categories. The database market continues to evolve in exciting ways, and the innovations that come with XML mean organizations can now do things they previously could only dream about. MarkLogic Server gives customers the ability to build extraordinary content applications,” said Tracy Eiler, vice president of marketing, MarkLogic. “In the ‘Best Corporate Blog’ category, it is great to see our CEO Dave Kellogg’s blog be recognized. His natural intellectual curiosity and provocative point of view, we believe, generates healthy debate in the industry.”
Winners will be announced at the 24th Annual CODiE Awards Gala which will be held on May 5, 2009 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, Calif. For a complete list of 2009 CODiE Awards finalists, please visit 2009 CODiE Awards finalists.
