SAN CARLOS, Calif. – March 23, 2009 – MarkLogic Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure software for information applications, today announced that Matt Turner, principal consultant, will participate in the panel “Meeting the Challenges with Innovation and New Products” at the Association of Information and Dissemination Centers (ASIDIC) Spring 2009 Meeting to be held March 22-24, 2009 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Tampa Bay in Tampa, Florida. Mike Buschman from Serials Solutions will join Matt in headlining the panel discussion, in which they will share their perspectives on innovative publishing solutions.
This session will explore various challenges in today’s publishing markets that are forcing publishers to change their approach in order to get the most out of their content and supply new products to their customers. The panel will discuss how organizations have focused on reusing assets, building targeted applications, promoting community interaction as well as other helpful strategies.
ASIDIC Spring 2009 Meeting will address innovation in a time of great change as content production and distribution organizations face dramatic changes in communication, academia, and technology. The conference will explore how the industry is changing and whether or not new business models threaten the success and progress of established companies. Sessions will address topics such as Web 2.0, social networking and social content, technology solutions and the human side of progress.
Matt Turner is a principle consultant with MarkLogic Corporation, where he is responsible for building applications. Prior to joining MarkLogic, Turner worked with PC World Online and Sony Music creating publishing, community and identity applications.
