SAN CARLOS, CA — September 25, 2008 — MarkLogic Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure software for information applications, today announced the appointment of Cathy Lewis as chief financial officer.
Cathy brings to MarkLogic more than 13 years of public company experience in senior finance roles, particularly with high-growth software companies. Prior to MarkLogic, Cathy was assistant corporate controller at Sun Microsystems (NASDAQ: JAVA), the $14 billion provider of network computing infrastructure product and service solutions. There she held primary oversight for all external financial reporting, including compliance activities and issues relevant to US GAAP guidance, across the organization and its 150 subsidiaries.
Prior to Sun, Cathy was vice president and corporate controller at Saba Software (NASDAQ: SABA), a $120 million human capital management software company. In addition to all SEC financial reporting oversight at Saba, she was responsible for leading tax, treasury, audit and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance activities. Before this position, Cathy was vice president of worldwide internal audit at Business Objects (NASDAQ: BOBJ), a $1 billion global leader in enterprise business intelligence software. There she managed the annual internal audit function worldwide and was primarily responsible for global license compliance and software revenue recognition policies and practices. Cathy has also held senior management positions at Prime Response and Imagematrix Corporation. She graduated summa cum laude from Colorado State University and holds a CPA certificate from the state of Colorado.
