Gartner Cloud DBMS Report Names MarkLogic a Visionary

SAN CARLOS, CA — October 30, 2008 — MarkLogic Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure software for information applications, today announced that Dave Kellogg, chief executive officer of MarkLogic, will moderate the session entitled “Digital Publishing Platforms: Magazines, Newspapers & eBooks” at the 2008 Gilbane Conference San Francisco held June 18 – 20, 2008.

Additional speakers include Andrew Savikas, director of publishing technology at O’Reilly Media and Cimarron Buser, senior vice president marketing & business development, for Texterity. This panel will discuss how the explosion in new devices such as Amazon’s Kindle, technologies like XML and other emerging products for digital publishing will impact the traditional publishing medium. The discussion will also present the results of recent Gilbane Group research into how these various technologies are reshaping the digital publishing landscape and presenting new market opportunities.
