This partnership is the result of a close relationship and cooperation in Benelux the last two years

Utrecht – January 27, 2017 – MarkLogic, the market leader in the area of NoSQL-databases for the enterprise has signed a partnership with Capgemini Netherlands B.V. part of the Capgemini Group, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services. As part of the partnership, MarkLogic’s database services will become a part of Capgemini’s services portfolio in the Benelux region.

Big data is often associated with massive data lakes from large organizations. Such data-infrastructure can however sometimes create too much complexity. Therefore, organizations that want to make optimal use of big data but also want to fully adhere to the legalities that come with it, are often choosing NoSQL-database services. With this they can manage large volumes of heterogeneously segmented data, resulting in highly-flexible and rapidly-deployable information management.

Both Capgemini and MarkLogic are strongly represented in the financial and government sectors. In each sector there are strict rules for data management and data governance. There is also high demand for real-time insights into large amounts of data. The database from MarkLogic has proven to be able to perform amongst the very best in the industry. Both parties expect that organizations in these sectors will be able to profit the most in the coming years from the partnership.

Arnout Arntz, CTO, Financial Services Insights & Data Global Practice, Continental Europe, at Capgemini: “This partnership is the culmination of a close collaboration over the past two years in the Benelux. MarkLogic represents a new generation of databases, which makes it possible to integrate data from different sources more smartly. With MarkLogic in our partner ecosystem we can offer our customers a more complete service, for example, to help them meet compliance requirements. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force in 2018, requires extremely fine-grained, professional data governance and security. Such legislation means other relational database technology is not always tenable, and NoSQL then quickly becomes the better solution. For this reason, we have opted to sign a partnership with MarkLogic, which is a supplier of an industry-leading enterprise NoSQL database.”

Jurriaan Krielaart, Territory Director for Northern Europe at MarkLogic: “Organizations have an increasing need for a NoSQL database that meets their operational and transactional requirements, and also helps to maintain compliance with strict legal rules. MarkLogic offers the ideal solution for this and it is a solution that has been proven in practice with our customers. In the near future, we expect to partner even more intensively with Capgemini to better serve our shared customers.”
