LA Care offers health coverage to two million Californians. As part of this, LA Care needs to ensure that its provider and member data is accurate and comprehensive so customers can quickly find the right, in-network doctor(s) for themselves and their families. But sometimes the information LA Care receives from its providers is flawed, and details about members change. Therefore, the organization went about correcting this problem with MarkLogic®. LA Care CTO, Rick Bemis, talked with us at MarkLogic World this year about how LA Care built an Operational Data Hub and improved its data quality from 65% accuracy to 95%, and improved efficiency on a scale of 10 to 1.
