Kari Szul

Kari Szul is a Sr. Global Demand Campaigns Manager responsible for creating marketing campaigns and programs executed in association with the field to drive educated demand for MarkLogic. Prior to joining MarkLogic, Kari held a variety of global marketing roles at hardware, consulting and delivery services organizations. Kari is based in our New York office and in her free time, enjoys traveling, modern art and live music.

Do you have any pets?

I have a rescue German Shepherd/Husky mix named Bella who has been christened Mr. Smooth” and/or “Mr. Softee” by my resident Bodega owner (because, “Her ears are so soft.”).”

Do you enjoy any outdoor activities? What?

I’m a longtime cyclist and a big believer that New York City is more interesting by bike.

Where was your favorite place you went on vacation?

This past summer, I made my way through southern Spain and Morocco (Tangiers, Fez, Marrakech, Casablanca, Agadir). Next up: Santiago and then south to Patagonia!

Free time: It’s elusive these days. But when 15-minute pockets of time suddenly appear (whether on the train or in a waiting room) you could spend it learning something new! With that in mind, MarkLogic University is launching an on-demand mobile app, built on the MarkLogic platform, so you can make the most of those treasured ‘free’ pockets of time.
