MarkLogic Visited By Congresswoman Jackie Speier
SAN CARLOS, Calif. — February 9, 2010 — MarkLogic® Corporation, a leading provider of information infrastructure software, today announced that it hosted Congresswoman Jackie Speier, from California's 12th Congressional District, yesterday at its corporate headquarters.
Congresswoman Speier met with MarkLogic to learn firsthand how the company's technology enables government agencies to build and deploy applications that are redefining how information is managed, analyzed, and shared. MarkLogic's information infrastructure software is playing a vital role in supporting the government initiative to promote greater transparency amongst its various agencies and the public.
Congresswoman Speier was first elected in April of 2008 after 18 years in the California Legislature, where she authored more than 300 bills that were signed into law by both Democratic and Republican governors. She serves on three influential committees in the House of Representatives – the Committee on Financial Services, the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming.
