MarkLogic Named to EContent 100 List of 'Companies That Matter Most' for Fifth Consecutive Year
SAN CARLOS, Calif. — December 4, 2009 — MarkLogic Corporation, a leading provider of infrastructure software for information applications, today announced it has been named for the fifth year in a row to the EContent 100 list of companies that matter most in the digital content industry. The EContent 100 recognizes companies and products that demonstrate continued leadership in the content industry – and whose innovation foreshadows all that digital content has to offer.
“This will be a year in which organizations must put the tools to work to engage new customers and keep existing ones satisfied,” said Michelle Manafy, editor-in-chief, EContent. “The digital content industry covers a lot of ground, with the borders shifting almost daily. Through our annual 100 list, we aim to honor companies and products that demonstrate continued leadership in the industry. We recognized MarkLogic for its ability to deliver demonstrable value to customers with solutions that directly impact the bottom line.”
The fourteen judges for the ninth annual EContent 100 included fellow Information Today, Inc. editors, EContent magazine contributing editors, and other experts in the digital content industry. Most members of the judging team meet once a year. Their interests converge on the pages of the magazine.
“MarkLogic continues to be at the forefront of innovation and this recognition underscores the strong momentum we've achieved this year,” said Dave Kellogg, MarkLogic Corporation. “Today's organizations are intensely looking for infrastructure software that taps into the immense value of their unstructured information. MarkLogic is unsurpassed in its ability to allow customers to build revolutionary applications that are expanding the ways in which organizations share and deliver information.”
