Jeff Miller, Chairman

Jeff Miller is an accomplished senior executive and venture capitalist with over 30 years of experience working with some of the hottest software companies in Silicon Valley. From 1993 to 2001, he served as president and chief executive officer of Documentum, Inc., growing it to become one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world. Miller founded business and consulting firm JAMM Ventures. Prior to JAMM Ventures, he was a venture partner with Redpoint Ventures, where he specialized in emerging enterprise and infrastructure software markets. In addition to Documentum, Miller held a variety of senior marketing and executive management positions at Intel Corporation, Adaptec, Inc., Fairchild Semiconductor International, Inc., and Cadence Design Systems, Inc. He currently serves on the board of McAfee, Inc. Miller also recently served on the board of Data Domain, Inc., which was acquired by EMC in 2009.

Tom Banahan

Tom is a Managing Director of Tenaya Capital. He initially joined the predecessor to Tenaya (Lehman Brothers Venture Partners) in 1999, and co-founded Tenaya in 2009. Previously, Tom spent 20 years working as an operational manager in the technology industry. Most recently, he was the vice president of business development for Marimba. Tom joined Marimba as the 14th employee and was involved in all areas of the company’s growth through its successful public offering in April 1999. Prior to Marimba, Tom was the vice president of worldwide sales for Spyglass. He joined Spyglass as the 23rd employee and was instrumental in helping the company deliver a string of 12 consecutive profitable quarters that positioned Spyglass as the first Internet company to access the public equity markets in June 1995. Tom started his career in the sales organization at IBM where he spent seven years. Tom holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Mark Kvamme

Mark Kvamme focuses on services and software investments for Sequoia Capital. He is currently a Director of Cast Iron Systems, AdBrite, EMN8, MarkLogic, MotoSport.com, LinkedIn, and StrongMail Systems. Previously, he was a director of Corvigo (acquired by Tumbleweed Communications) and Allocity (acquired by EMC). Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 1999, Mark was chairman of USWeb/CKS and chairman and chief executive officer of CKS Group prior to its merger with USWeb. Earlier in his career Mark was a director of international marketing for Wyse Technology, the president and chief executive officer of International Solutions, and a founding member of Apple France. Mark has a bachelor’s degree in French economics and literature from the University of California at Berkeley.

Thomas Weatherford

Thomas Weatherford has over 35 years of experience in senior financial positions for global technology companies. Thom retired in 2003 as executive vice president and chief financial officer of business intelligence software leader Business Objects S.A., having held that position since 1997. He previously held senior financial positions at NETCOM On–Line Communication Services, Logitech, Texas Instruments, Schlumberger, and Tandem Computers in the US, Europe, and Japan. In addition to MarkLogic, Thom currently serves on the boards of Mellanox, Tesco Corporation, and several other private companies. He also serves on the boards of Spansion and Guidewire, both public companies. He holds a bachelor of business administration degree from the University of Houston.

Christopher Lindblad

Chris Lindblad is the founder of MarkLogic and is responsible for driving advances in its award winning product. Chris has over 20 years experience developing software.
