Structured text search
Search is an essential component of content applications and helps users find the exact information they need. MarkLogic Server’s search capabilities leverage your content’s structure and text to provide your users with search and discovery solutions that deliver one-step answers to questions, not just pages of links to documents.
When you load content into MarkLogic Server it automatically indexes the words and structure of all the content. You can provide your users with extensive full-text search capabilities which include stemming, tokenization, proximity, Boolean, relevance and more. Additionally you can provide your users with a more powerful search capability that combines the existence of a word with its location in the document structure. The result is search that delivers relevance and granularity that enterprise search solutions are incapable of producing.
For example, a user could search for a term only within the abstracts of documents, identify articles cited within those documents, and return the author and publisher names along with the abstract text.
